The Westinghouse Fan Master Jr. Non-Metallic Support Box is designed for safely attaching a lighting fixture or ceiling fan to a building's structural support. This allows the ceiling fan to be supported by the joist, rather than the box itself. It is particularly well-suited for new construction and can be used in applications where duct work or wiring is present.
Featuring a 13.4-cubic-inch wiring capacity on only one side of the box, the Fan Master Jr. can be easily mounted to either side of a joist without the need to split the wiring. It is versatile and can be installed on standard joists as well as wider joist configurations where a saddle style box would not fit.
The support box includes two knockouts for conduit or Romex, as well as a Romex connector and clamp. It is UL listed for fixture support up to 150 pounds and ceiling fan support up to 70 pounds, and has a two-hour fire rating for added safety.
Included with the Fan Master Jr. is a Saf-T-Cap to protect bolts and wires during drywall installation and painting. The product reference number is 02525.
